Option #1
Service Trip:
Arusha and Moshi are two of the most developed and established cities in Tanzania, but they struggle with high levels of poverty and poor living conditions. Work first hand with one of the many K2 partnered organizations, such as providing assistance to local and international medical professionals at St. Joseph’s Hospital or developing education and learning objectives for the children at Summit Happy Home. After a few days of community service, take a trip to Tarangire National Park and see incredible animals you can’t find anywhere else on Earth.
Option #2
Climb Mt. Kilimanjaro + Two Days of Community Service
Start your adventure with two days of community service in Arusha, then reach new heights by spending 7 days conquering the tallest freestanding mountain in the world.
We will hike the Machame Route on Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Tanzania and Africa. At 19,341 feet, this trek will require perseverance, cooperation and leadership to reach the summit. The climb itself is steady rather than exhaustive, but challenging nonetheless. As you ascend, you’ll walk through every ecological life zone possible making you feel like you’re in a completely different place from one day to the next.
